Gun emplacement in the distance with former Coastguard lookout built within the footprint of another emplacement

One of several temporary brick construction communal buildings. The presence of so many communal buildings would suggest that the battery was well-manned and probably responsible for deterring enemy aircraft from coming in land to attack nearby RAF Chickerell
